The Traffic Homicide Unit detectives from Broward Sheriff’s Office are currently looking into an accident that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist in Dania Beach last Monday night around 8;17 p.m., January 13th.On that evening Broward Sheriffs Office detectives received a call about a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle near Stirling Roads 2400 block, in Dania Beach.Hollywood Fire Rescue,Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue and BSO district deputies all rushed to respond to this incident. During the inquiry it was found that Frank Forque was driving a 2008 Nissan Altima sedan in a southern direction to leave the parking lot of Emerald Plaza on the north side of Stirling Road while Richard Decatur was on a 2022 Harley Davidson Sportster motorcycle heading west on Stirling Road in the far right lane, towards the 2400 block area. Investigators stated that Forque did not notice the approaching motorcycle and entered the lanes of Stirling Road directly into its path. Investigators reported that the motorcycles front wheel assembly collided with the drivers side door of the Nissan in a T bone style crash from an angle perspective. Decatur was thrown off the motorcycle. Eventually came to a stop in the far left through lane. The Nissan proceeded westward on Stirling Road. Eventually stopped close, to Southwest 25th Avenue. Hollywood Fire Rescue confirmed Decaturs passing on site. Forque from Nissan was taken to Hollywood Memorial Hospital after the accident. Luckily had non life threatening injuries and was discharged later on.The investigation is still, in progress.
