National Day Of Hate Law Enforcement Says No Planned Events

BOCA RATON, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — The Jewish community in Boca Raton, as well as many other cities in the country, are on high alert today as it is declared “National Day Of Hate” by extremists.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement tells us that they are not aware of any known threats or protests planned over the weekend.

“While there are currently no known threats or protests planned in Florida over the weekend, there have been recent acts of violence toward the Jewish community, and we ask our citizens to be vigilant and report suspicious activity,” the Florida Fusion Center, which is based at FDLE, said in a bulletin.

Boca Raton is not a stranger to these types of incidents. There are even videos online that document hateful activity as it has previously occurred in our community. While local law enforcement says there are no known threats, religious leaders aren’t taking any chances. We are told that local synagogues are increasing security efforts.

“We have seen increased antisemitic incidents and harassment against our Jewish brothers and sisters throughout the country and in Broward County. The Broward Sheriff’s Office has been and will continue to be very proactive with these investigations. We are very much aware of various hate groups calling for their followers to engage in vandalism and spreading antisemitic messages this weekend. We have been monitoring the situation along with our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners and receiving updates from the ADL. While no threat has been identified in Broward County, we always remind everyone to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately. BSO does not tolerate any act of antisemitism or any form of hate and prejudice. The areas under my command have been put on heightened alert. Remember, if you see something suspicious, say something. Do not remain silent,” Sheriff Gregory Tony said on Friday.
