Boca Raton wakes up to a dry, mostly sunny stretch today, with mild 70s and a steady breeze, while the surf along the coast remains dangerous for swimmers, according to the National Weather Service in Miami.

Advisories / Watches / Warnings

The only thing hanging over us this morning is the rip current statement for the Palm Beach County coast. It’s the same deal we’ve had for a couple days now — high risk through Thursday evening — and it doesn’t take much for the currents off Boca’s stretch of beach to turn pushy, especially near the park access points where everyone tends to swim. Lifeguards will probably be busier than usual.

If you do end up in a rip, they keep repeating the basics: don’t fight it, slide out of it, float if you have to. Common sense stuff but worth saying again.

Today’s Weather – Wednesday, December 10, 2025

The forecaster sent over one of those late-night notes — the kind with too many numbers jammed together — but the message was simple enough: mostly sunny today, high near 79, light breeze early. A few clouds drifting in from offshore but they won’t hang around long.

We start the day with that familiar northeast wind, barely moving the trees east of Federal, then it swings northwest this afternoon, which you’ll notice more along the Intracoastal than out by Lyons. Still, it’s a comfortable one. A touch cooler if you’re inland, warmer near the beaches unless a stray cloud parks overhead.

Pompano’s early observation had a light east wind and decent visibility — nothing dramatic, nothing that would make you think twice heading out the door before sunrise. Felt like a regular December morning here.

Tonight cools off quickly once the sun drops: clear skies, lows around 57, and a northwest breeze around 7 to 11 mph. Enough movement in the air that you might crack a window and get that crisp, almost dry-season smell we get this time of year. West Boca usually dips a degree or two lower, but it’s all roughly the same.

7 Day Outlook

The pattern stays calm for a bit, though it tilts slightly cooler tomorrow before warming again into the weekend.

Thursday:
Plenty of sun but a cooler feel, high around 74. The northwest wind picks up a little — 10 to 13 mph — so Glades Road will have that steady cross-breeze in the afternoon. Clear at night, low near 59.

Friday:
Back toward the mid-70s, high near 76. Wind relaxes some, starting north then bending east later, which usually warms things up faster near A1A.
Friday night turns partly cloudy, mild, low around 66.

Saturday:
A warmer, nicer Saturday — mostly sunny, high near 79 — though the east wind can get pushy at times, 7 to 13 mph. Good beach day if not for the rip risk still hanging around.
Saturday night gets more humid, low around 70, and there’s a small chance of showers after 1 a.m. Not much, but it breaks the dry stretch.

Sunday:
A little messier. Partly sunny, 30 percent chance of showers, high still near 79. The northeast breeze steadies out again. Could see one of those quick-moving showers come off the water and clip the western neighborhoods an hour later.
Sunday night: partly cloudy, low around 67.

Monday:
Sun comes back out but the wind ramps up — they actually called it breezy — with a 20 percent chance of showers. High near 76. You’ll feel it on the bridges for sure.
Monday night: still breezy, low around 66.

Tuesday:
Looks simpler again. Mostly sunny, somewhere in the mid-70s, and no real mention of trouble.
