Boca starts Saturday on a quieter note, but it’s not staying that way.
The point forecast for 2 miles SE of Boca Raton calls for increasing clouds through the day with a high near 79°F. Winds are expected out of the east at 10 to 14 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph—noticeable along the beaches, the Intracoastal, and anywhere exposed along the I-95 corridor.
If you’re heading out—Glades Road errands, a walk near the water, anything outdoors—today is more of a “keep the sunglasses handy, but expect the sky to look busier by late afternoon” setup. No rain is called out in the daytime portion, but the clouds are the tell.

For Saturday night, NWS is calling for showers and thunderstorms likely, with the most focused window mainly between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m., followed by showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 4 a.m. It stays mostly cloudy, with a low around 69°F. Winds ease back to east 6 to 10 mph.
Rain odds are listed at 60%, and NWS flags new rainfall amounts between a quarter and a half inch possible. That’s enough to create wet roads and ponding in the usual low spots, especially if one of those overnight storms decides to linger.
Along the beach: take the advisory seriously. The posted Rip Current Statement specifically warns of dangerous rip currents along the coast, and the timing on the forecast page shows the statement in effect into early Sunday. If you’re thinking about an ocean swim today, it’s the kind of day to stay close to guards and be extra conservative.
