Alert Hazardous Weather In Boca Raton And Beyond
BOCA RATON, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — Memorial Day weekend is off to a soggy start with heavy rains and thunderstorms from slow-moving storms are expected today.
The National Weather Service has provided Boca Post with the following “Hazardous Weather Outlook”:
Rip currents: A high risk of rip currents continues along Atlantic
beaches as winds and surf slowly subside.
Flooding: Slow-moving or multiple rounds of storms may produce
localized flooding across the east coast today.
Thunderstorms: Showers and thunderstorms are expected across all of
South Florida today. Gusty, sub-severe, winds will be possible in the
strongest storms.
Rain is not expected to stop. The NWS adds:
Heavy rain will be the primary concern throughout the upcoming week.
