TAMARAC, FL (Boca Post) — The Broward Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that they are investigating an accident involving a fatality after an 81-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Tamarac on Friday evening.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that at approximately 7:25 PM on Friday, November 4th, 2022, deputies responded to the area of Northwest 67th Court and Pine Island Road in Tamarac in reference to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident.

Responding BSO district deputies and Tamarac Fire Rescue located an 81-year-old male, identified as Francisco Rodriguez, badly injured after being hit by a Ford Mustang GT driven by 59-year-old Andrew Singer from Tamarac.

Tamarac Fire Rescue pronounced Rodriguez deceased at the scene.

BSO Traffic Homicide Unit detectives were notified and began investigating the incident.
