BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A Boca Raton man was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on multiple felony charges after deputies say he showed up armed at his ex-girlfriend’s residence and made threats in violation of a court-ordered no-contact injunction.

Christopher Kenneth Kapcha, 45, of NW 5TH Ave, Boca Raton, was arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and booked on Jan. 18, 2026, according to court records. Kapcha is charged with burglary of a dwelling while armed, aggravated stalking, and aggravated assault, all felony offenses under Florida law.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the victim told deputies Kapcha was her former boyfriend and that the two had previously lived together before the relationship ended more than a year earlier.

She told investigators she left the residence the night before because she feared for her safety, after learning Kapcha had been looking for her and had made violent statements. When she returned the following morning, she reported hearing a pickup truck pull into the driveway.

From inside the residence, the victim told deputies she saw Kapcha walk toward an enclosed patio area. She said she recorded video showing him seated on patio furniture with what appeared to be a large black gun hanging from a strap around his neck.

The victim told deputies Kapcha made repeated threats while on the patio, including statements about killing her and then himself. Fearing for her life, she contacted a neighbor across the street and asked him to call law enforcement.

That neighbor later told deputies he had been warned the day before that Kapcha intended to go to the residence and commit a murder-suicide. As sheriff’s deputies approached the area, the neighbor said he saw Kapcha leave in a black pickup truck.

Investigators also interviewed another witness who told deputies Kapcha had made similar threats the day before and had called while he was still at the residence, urging him to leave. That call was captured on a deputy’s body-worn camera, according to the affidavit.

Deputies wrote that Kapcha did not have permission to be on the property and that the enclosed patio is considered part of the dwelling under Florida’s burglary statute. They also noted Kapcha was armed during the encounter.

Court records show a non-expiring no-contact order had been issued months earlier, barring Kapcha from contacting the protected person and requiring him to surrender firearms and ammunition to law enforcement.

Based on witness statements, video evidence, and the existing court order, deputies arrested Kapcha on felony charges.

Jail records list bond amounts of $50,000 for aggravated stalking and $25,000 for aggravated assault. The armed burglary charge was listed with no bond at the time of booking.

The criminal case was filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court under case number 50-2026-CF-000405-AXXX-MB. A separate court case involving a risk protection order was also opened following the arrest.

As of the most recent jail records, Kapcha remained in custody at the Main Detention Center.
