Railroad Crossing Closed Near I-95-Palmetto After Gate Malfunction

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A railroad crossing just west of I-95/Palmetto has been closed due to a gate arm malfunction.

Drivers are being advised to seek an alternate route and expect delays in the surrounding area.

The malfunction affects safety equipment at the crossing, prompting the closure until repairs are made and normal operation is restored.

Motorists traveling near I-95/Palmetto should plan for congestion and avoid the area if possible.

Boca Post will update this alert when the crossing reopens.

Boca Raton car accidents on major corridors, including I-95 and Florida’s Turnpike, are followed closely by Boca Post.


UPDATE (9:25 a.m., Feb. 9):

All previously closed railroad crossings near I-95/Palmetto and I-95/Camino have reopened, and traffic has returned to normal.

UPDATE (7:46 a.m., Feb. 9):

Eastbound traffic at Palmetto Road and Military Trail is also closed due to a railroad gate arm malfunction at the tracks just west of I-95.

UPDATE (7:28 a.m., Feb. 9):

A second railroad crossing near I-95/Camino has closed due to a gate arm malfunction. Both the crossing just west of I-95/Palmetto and the crossing near I-95/Camino remain closed. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes.
