Reports came in around 5 p.m. On Monday, March 25, to Broward County Regional Communications about a shooting taking place on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Pompano Beach. Upon arrival, BSO deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue found a young man with gunshot wounds on the sidewalk and immediately administered life saving aid. Despite their efforts, the victim was later pronounced dead at Broward Health North. Additionally, it was discovered that three more individuals who were shot had been taken to a nearby hospital by private means and are expected to recover.

Initial investigations suggest that the victims were gathered outside a business at 1780 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. When they were confronted by several assailants who opened fire. The Homicide and Crime Scene Units of BSO are actively working to uncover the reasons behind the shootings and identify those accountable.
