Rosemarie V. Skenandore Passed Away

POMPANO BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — 81-year-old Rosemarie Skenandore passed away after being involved in a Pompano Beach crash.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Skenandore died days after a two-vehicle traffic crash that occurred in Pompano Beach, and Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances of the incident.

BSO detectives say they received a delayed death notification from the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office, who advised the deceased was involved in a crash that possibly occurred on May 4.

The preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 3:54 p.m. on Thursday, May 4 Rosemarie Skenandore was driving a 2020 Buick Enclave traveling westbound on Sample Road attempting to turn left onto Northeast 15th Avenue in Pompano Beach. Meanwhile, Mandrell Rolle was driving a 2022 Chevy Silverado traveling eastbound on Sample Road.

Investigators say the Buick entered the path of the Chevy Silverado and the initial impact occurred within the intersection. The impact caused the Chevy Silverado to be redirected in a southeasterly direction striking the curb and a crosswalk signal before coming to a final rest. The Buick was redirected east where it came to a final rest against the south side of the curb. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue transported Skenandore to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased days later.
