Alberto Capone Of Pompano Beach Passed Away After a Deadly Accident

POMPANO BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — Alberto Capone of Pompano Beach was struck by a car and killed in Pompano Beach on Sunday, February 5th, 2023.

According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, the Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating a vehicle versus pedestrian crash that left a man dead in Pompano Beach.

According to investigators, at approximately 12:24 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5, Charleen R. Williams was driving a 2021 GMC Acadia traveling westbound on Northeast Seventh Place and stopped at the stop sign at North Riverside Drive. The pedestrian, Alberto Capone, was walking along the east side of the roadway on North Riverside Drive when Williams made a right turn onto North Riverside Drive and struck the pedestrian.

BSO district deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded. The driver remained on scene and cooperated with investigators. Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was later pronounced deceased.
