NORTH LAUDERDALE, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — A large law enforcement presence was seen near Silver Lakes Middle School in North Lauderdale on Wednesday afternoon following a shooting with a juvenile suspect.

Broward Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting near Silver Lakes Middle School, located at 7600 block of Tam O Shanter Boulevard in North Lauderdale

Around 3:58 PM, on Wednesday, September 13th, 2023, Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to reports of a shooting near the 7600 block of Tam O Shanter Boulevard, in North Lauderdale.

Investigators state that they observed a minor unlawfully firing a round into the air. Deputies searched the area. Apprehended the individual for questioning. Fortunately no injuries have been reported at this time. The investigation is still ongoing.

BSO says that the shooting did not occur at the school or affect operations.
