CLEAR (NYSE: YOU) Today announced that it has partnered with PBI to offer expedited touch-free lanes to expand PBI’s current security checkpoints.

This is the 4th major airport Clear now supports in Florida and a total of 49 airports nationwide.

Clear leverages technology in an effort to enhance an arduous process. Clear members will simply use their eyes for a retina verification system to validate they who they say they are. This removes the need to provide photo ID to a TSA agent.

This addition adds an estimated economic impact of 1.9M for Palm Beach International Airport and Palm Beach County.

Lura Beebe, Director of Palm Beach County Department of Airports, says “PBI is known for an easy, convenient traveling experience and bringing CLEAR lanes with touchless technology provides our travelers additional peace of mind as they depart the Palm Beaches,”. She went on to say  “We are confident our passengers will appreciate CLEAR lanes and are looking forward to a great partnership ahead.”

CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker says “We’ve been committed to Florida since day one with our first airport launch, and now we are thrilled to partner with Palm Beach County to help bring this experience to local residents, travelers and visitors. We’re expanding our presence in South Florida and bringing with us over 30 new jobs to the area as part of our ongoing investment throughout the state,”.

This technology does seem to make the check in process for flyers much more convenient. To use CLEAR you are required to pay a $15/m subscription to the company. That subscription enables the service for you at any of the airports with Clear. Clear reports that there may be discounts available for customers with Delta airlines, United airlines, and American Express credit card holders.
