REMINDER: I-95 CLOSURE: I-95 At Glades Road Closure Rescheduled

I-95 Closing Northbound And Southbound Lanes Overnight On Wednesday January 31st. February 1st Only Southbound Lanes Closed Overnight.

Boca Raton, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) —  If traveling overnight on January 31st or February 1st you will want to avoid I-95 in the Boca Raton area as FDOT has scheduled overnight closures.

UPDATE: 1/27/22

Just a reminder, the I-95 closure is still scheduled for January 31st and February 1st. All northbound and southbound lanes will be closed overnight on January 31st. On February 1st, all southbound lanes at Glades road will be closed.

UPDATE: 1/23/22

FDOT has pushed the I95 closures back a week to the contingency dates of January 31st for both direction of travel and February 1st for the southbound closure. I-95 will be completely shut down at Glades Road due to a major construction project.

February 2nd and 3rd have been designated as contingency dates. FHP will be on site to assist motorists. Avoid the area if possible.

January 31st (11pm – 5am) – Both Directions I95 CLOSED

I-95 Northbound and Southbound at Glades Road will be closed completely from 11pm to 5am.

February 1st (11pm – 5am) – Southbound I95 CLOSED

I-95 Southbound at Glades Road will be closed completely from 11pm-5am. Northbound will not be affected.

According to FDOT, these closures are required for a bridge beam setting as part of the “95 Express Lanes Phase 3B-2 Project” which will extend the Express lanes north from south of Glades road to south of Linton Boulevard. The end result of this project will increase the amount of express lanes while not affecting the number of general use lanes.
