MURDER-SUICIDE Just South Of Boca Raton In Tamarac

Broward Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as 39-year-old Russell Gardner. The female victim has not been identified by BSO as Marsy’s law has been invoked.

According to public records, Marke Gardner and Russell Gardner purchased the home at 5860 Hampton Hills Boulevard in 2020. The two also own a business called Loving Embrace, LLC which was recently registered with the State of Florida in June of 2022.

BSO provides Boca Post with the following update:

Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit are investigating a shooting that left a man and woman dead early Thursday morning. 

BSO deputies responded to the 5800 block of Hampton Hills Boulevard in Tamarac regarding a 911 hang-up call. On scene, deputies were able to contact a juvenile who was on the second floor of the home. When deputies were able to enter the residence, they discovered an unresponsive male and female on the kitchen floor. The two were pronounced deceased on the scene. The male subject was identified as 39-year-old Russell Gardner.

Four children, ranging from 5 months old to 11 years old were also found inside the residence. They were unharmed. Homicide and crime scene detectives responded to the scene to investigate. 

According to detectives, preliminary information reveals that the female victim was shot multiple times, and Gardner sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound. However, the official cause and manner of death will be determined by the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office.

TAMARAC, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — Broward Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating a murder-suicide in a Tamarac home where a man and a woman were found dead along with four children who were unharmed.

Broward Sheriff’s Office provided the following news alert to Boca Post:

Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit are investigating a shooting that left a man and woman died early Thursday morning.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 5800 block of Hampton Hills Boulevard in Tamarac regarding a 911 hang-up call.

On scene, deputies discovered a man and woman unresponsive inside a residence. Both individuals were pronounced deceased on the scene.

Four children were also found inside the residence. They were unharmed. BSO Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Unit investigators are on the scene conducting a death investigation.
