According to investigators, this battery incident occurred at approximately 10 a.m. On Wednesday, October 11th, at the Walmart store situated at 3001 N. State Road 7. Surveillance footage reveals that as the elderly man left the store carrying a shopping bag, he was suddenly struck in the face by the assailant just after passing through the first set of sliding doors. The suspect is described as a tall and slender male wearing a navy sweater with grey lettering on its front, black pants and flip flops. Following the attack, he swiftly exited the entryway of the store and proceeded northward on foot towards Oakland Park Boulevard.

Detectives have determined that robbery was not a motive in this case since nothing was stolen from the victim. Thankfully, although minor injuries were sustained by the victim as a result of this assault.
