Hollywood Florida Walmart Re-Opens After Being Closed For Cleaning

Hollywood, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — A Walmart store in Hollywood has re-opened after the retail giant closed it for a thorough deep cleaning and sanitation to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Walmart has closed and re-opened a second store in Southeast Florida for cleaning and sanitation efforts to help deter the spread of COVID-19.

A Walmart spokesperson has not said whether or not there is some outbreak of COVID-19 cases at either of the stores; however, the company states they closed the store “as part of an ongoing company-initiated program.”

As a national average a Walmart store makes about $153k per day, or about $1M per week. Closing the store for 2 days would cost the retailer approximately $306k of lost revenue.

The store located at 5851 NW 177th St in Hollywood, FL was closed at 2pm on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022 and has re-opened at 6am this morning.
