Detectives are currently looking for the driver who collided with a bicyclist, offered help and then left the scene without providing further assistance. The incident occurred on Friday, May 31st, around 9 p.m. In Fort Lauderdale’s 4500 block of South Federal Highway. The victim, identified as Magarita Lopez, was taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention following the crash involving a silver SUV. Witnesses reported that after hitting Lopez in the tunnel while she was cycling southbound, the driver initially stopped to assist her before leaving the scene.
