Pbso Announcing Heavy Speed And Aggressive Driving Enforcement Tomorrow
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that they will be ramping up aggressive driving and speed enforcement tomorrow, Saturday, January 29th, 2022.
Update – 1/31/22
PBSO Reports that on 1/29/22 the department performed the following traffic enforcement actions as part of this reported crackdown:
- 2 Arrests
- 22 Criminal Citations
- 316 Traffic Citations
- 150 Traffic Warnings
Original Story – 1/28/22
The announcement comes hours after Boca Post reported on a fatal high speed accident that killed 6 people in west Delray Beach late last night.
Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office tells us that the Speed & Aggressive Driving Enforcement Operation will be between the hours of 8am and 4pm on Saturday, January 29, 2022. PBSO tells us that the purpose of the operation is to enforce the Florida laws that prohibit speeding and aggressive driving. As is the case with law enforcement, the purpose of writing tickets is to educate the public on the dangers of breaking traffic laws.
Western Boca Raton and Delray Beach know this all to well. With two fatal accidents just days apart, western Delray Beach is no stranger to unsafe driving.
PBSO only says that the locations of enforcement will be in unincorporated areas of Palm Beach County and has given no indication of any specifically targeted areas.
