LOXAHATCHEE, FL (Boca Post) — PBSO confirms the body of 17-year-old Emmanuel Castaneda was found near 120th Ave and 75th Ln in Loxahatchee on Wednesday afternoon.

Detectives from the violent crimes division found the teenager’s body after investigating the teen’s disappearance. Sources tell Boca Post that a ping from the boy’s cell phone is what led detectives to the area.

The boy’s mother says he went missing on Saturday night and she filed a report with PBSO. The mother says that he went out with a friend who she describes as a “bad influence”. She also said he was around the Delray Beach area but noted his phone last pinged a cell phone tower on Northlake in the Acerage / Loxahatchee area.

PBSO is still at the scene where Castaneda’s body was found as they continue the homicide investigation.
