Stacey Albo Of Lake Worth Killed In Deadly Lake Worth Hit-And-Run Crash
LAKE WORTH, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that they are investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred in Lake Worth on Saturday, September 17th, 2022.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that at approximately 8:51 PM on Saturday, September 17th, 2022, deputies responded to the area of 10th Avenue and Boutwell Road in Lake Worth, FL in reference to a vehicle versus pedestrian call.
Responding PBSO district deputies and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue found 65-year-old Stacey Albo suffering from injuries she sustained from being hit by a pickup truck.
PBSO Traffic Homicide Unit detectives were notified and began an investigation into the incident. Detectives tell us that a red F-150 was traveling eastbound on 10th Avenue North approaching the intersection of Boutwell Road. At the same time, Albo was on foot attempting to cross 10th Avenue North (within the pedestrian crosswalk) from the northeast corner of the intersection to the southeast corner of the intersection. As the truck entered and traversed the intersection and continued eastbound, Albo continued crossing the roadway and was struck by the truck.
After the impact with the truck, Albo was thrown to the pavement and came to rest upon the southern shoulder of the outside lane of eastbound 10th Avenue North. After the impact with Albo, the truck continued eastbound on 10th Avenue North and left the area.
The truck was identified as a late model red Ford F-150, with possible damage to the passenger side front quarter panel and grill area. Deputies quickly located the truck, which was abandoned in a nearby industrial area.
For injuries received during the collision, Abo was transported to Saint Mary’s Medical Center with serious bodily injuries.
Sadly, Albo succumbed to her injuries weeks later, on Sunday, October 9th, 2022.
