DELRAY BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — Delray Beach Police say a man was shot in Delray Beach on Tuesday evening.

According to the Delray Beach Police Department, the shooting does not appear to be a random shooting. However, no arrests have been made.

The Delray Beach Police Department is currently conducting an investigation, into a shooting incident that occurred in the vicinity of SW 9th Ave and SW 1st St. A 23-year-old man was shot while driving and subsequently lost control of his vehicle resulting in a collision at a roundabout.

Emergency services, from Delray Beach Fire Rescue swiftly transported the injured individual to the hospital. Fortunately his injuries are not considered life threatening according to reports. The detectives working on the case suspect that this was not a random act of violence.
