Bicyclist In Critical Condition After Being Hit By Car

BOCA RATON, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — A 29-year-old woman is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle while riding her bicycle near the West Boca Medical Center this morning.

A large emergency response was observed near the south entrance of West Boca Medical Center as first responders work to save a 29-year-old woman who was hit by a car while riding a bicycle.

Sources close to the incident tell us that the woman was riding her bike near the south entrance of the West Boca Medical Center on South Central Park Boulevard when she was struck by a vehicle. Witnesses said that the woman was launched 10-15 feet from her bike following the impact.

Even though the accident happened within walking distance to the West Boca Medical Center, the woman was transported to Delray Medical Center as a priority 2 trauma alert since that is the closest trauma center in the area.

We have asked for comment from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office but have not yet received a response.
