Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Tamarac

TAMARAC, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — At approximately 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, Broward County Regional Communications received a report of a crash involving a pedestrian and two vehicles in the area of Northwest 70th Avenue and West McNab Road in Tamarac .

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Tamarac Fire Rescue responded. The preliminary investigation reveals that a vehicle struck a pedestrian, knocking the pedestrian to the ground. Subsequently, a second vehicle also struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was prounced deceased on scene. The first vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained on scene, and BSO’s Traffic Homicide Unit detectives responded to investigate. At this time, there are traffic delays in the area. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
