TAMARAC, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — The Broward Sheriff’s Office responded the area of 8100 59th Place in Tamarac after reports of a body floating in a canal.

From Broward Sheriff’s Office:

Shortly after 9 a.m., Sunday, August 7, Broward County Regional Communications received a call reporting a body floating in a canal near the 8100 block of Northwest 59th Place in Tamarac.

Broward Sheriff’s Office district deputies, Tamarac Fire Rescue, and the BSO Dive Team responded and recovered the body of an adult female. Crime scene and homicide detectives were notified and are investigating.

The cause of death and identification of the body will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
