POMPANO BEACH, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — The Broward Sheriffs Office Traffic Homicide Unit is currently looking into an accident in Pompano Beach that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.

Detectives reported that at 7;16 in the evening on Friday December 6th Gabriel Michel was driving a Freightliner semi truck east, on Northwest 15th Court. When Michel turned left into a driveway he accidentally hit an adult male pedestrian who was either sitting or lying in that driveway. Detectives currently think that Michel did not see the pedestrian before this happened.

Sheriff’s deputies and the Pompano Beach Fire Rescue team arrived at the location where paramedics confirmed that the pedestrian had passed away.

The inquiry into the details of the accident is still, in progress.
