Sunday evening in Lauderdale Lakes resulted in a fatal outcome when a woman lost her life in a car accident near West Oakland Park Boulevard around 8;30 p.m on March 30th as reported by Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit investigators. The collision involved a vehicle and a pedestrian in which Taquna Jackson was identified as driving a 2010 Ford Focus heading west on West Oakland Park Boulevard when Germaine Jean crossed their path without using a designated crosswalk according to findings, by authorities. Broward County Sheriffs Office Fire Rescue arrived at the scene. Confirmed that Jean had passed away on site while the driver stayed at the scene and assisted with the investigation, which is still, in progress.
