Train Versus Car Accident In Oakland Park Sends One To Hospital
OAKLAND PARK, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — Broward Sheriff’s Office tells us that at least one person is injured and has been transported to the hospital after being involved in a train versus vehicle accident.
Broward Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that all normal traffic patterns near the affected area of NE 3th Street are now re-opened. All lanes of travel were closed following the train versus vehicle crash that happened Sunday evening.

At approximately 5:25 p.m., Broward Regional Communications received a train versus vehicle crash near Northeast 34th Court and North Dixie Highway in Oakland Park. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Oakland Park Fire Rescue responded. The driver of the vehicle was transported to an area hospital with injuries listed as not life threatening. Deputies are on scene investigating the circumstances surrounding this crash. At this time, the east and westbound lanes of North Dixie Highway between Oakland Park Boulevard and Northeast 35th Street are closed until further notice. Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes. The investigation continues.
