NORTH LAUDERDALE, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — Todays unfortunate incident involved a car disappearing into air while its owner was busy pumping a tire.
At 5 o’clock in the evening on Saturday August 31st officers, in North Lauderdales BSO district were called to 8000 Hampton Boulevard to investigate a vehicle theft incident. Initial inquiries indicated that a man was inflating one of his cars tires. A 2020 Chev Equinox. When another man approached him and inquired about his actions. The victim confirmed that he was indeed putting air into his tire and proceeded to check the pressure. After inflating the tire and completing his task the person stated that he heard the sound of a door opening and closing nearby. Upon glancing up in response, to the noise he observed that the individual he had been conversating with moments before was now seated behind the wheel of his car and departing from the scene.
Investigators have footage showing the two men interacting with the individual who then drives away in a Chevy Equinox vehicle. The individual is dressed in a hooded sweatshirt with red letters along, with red and black shorts.
