Man Arrested For DUI After Fiery Crash In North Lauderdale
NORTH LAUDERDALE, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — 37-year-old Amaury Quintero has been arrested for DUI following a fiery crash that he and another driver survived.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 5 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 1, Broward County Regional Communications received a call reporting a crash near the 1100 block of South State Road 7 in North Lauderdale.
Broward Sheriff’s Office district deputies and North Lauderdale Fire Rescue responded. On scene, deputies learned two vehicles crashed and caught fire. Both drivers were outside of the vehicles. North Lauderdale Fire Rescue extinguished the fire. Paramedics transported one driver, an adult female, to a local hospital with injuries listed as serious but not life-threatening. According to investigators, the other driver, an adult male, showed signs of impairment.
BSO DUI Task Force detectives were notified and responded to the scene. Following their investigation, Amaury Quintero, DOB 8/7/85, was arrested for driving under the influence. BSO tells Boca Post that the investigation is ongoing.
