Week after a traffic accident in Pompano Beach claimed her life a woman passed away as detectives, from the Broward Sheriffs Office Traffic Homicide Unit delve into the details of the incident.
Before 9 p.m on September 13th the detectives from BSO were informed about a fire related crash, in Pompano Beachs 800 block of E Sample Road.
Cynthia Tassy was driving a 2006 Honda Element westbound on East Sample Road in the lane when Pedro Ocasio Latorres 2022 Toyota was in the center lane ahead of her, on the same road. Detectives said Ocasio Latorre mentioned seeing the Honda trying to switch from the lane to the far left lane before it seemed to lose control and hit the concrete center median. After that it swerved to the right and collided with the Toyota car then Tassys vehicle kept moving northwards over East Sample Road. Crashed into a tree.

The inquiry is still, in progress.
