DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — Broward Sheriff’s Office tells Boca Post that they are investigating a deadly motorcycle accident that occurred in Deerfield Beach earlier this month.
According to BSO, just before 9 PM on Wednesday, June 15th, 2022, BSO detectives responded to a “vehicle versus motorcycle crash” near the intersection of NE 48th and Dixie Highway in Deerfield Beach.
Investigators report that a juvenile driving a Ford Escape made a left turn into the path of a Triumph Bonneville motorcycle that had a driver and a passenger. Investigators say that the motorcycle was unable to stop fast enough to avoid a collision. Both the driver and the passenger of the motorcycle were thrown to the ground. The juvenile driver of the Ford Escape stopped his vehicle.
BSO responded and transported the driver and passenger to local hospitals. The driver of the Ford Escape was taken into custody. The driver of the motorcycle was declared deceased on Tuesday, June 21st, 2022.
