DANIA BEACH, FL (Boca Post) — A 39-year-old man is dead after being involved in a single-vehicle crash in Dania Beach on March 16th, 2022.

Broward Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle crash at Marina Road and SW 30th Ave in Dania Beach on Wednesday night where they found a 2003 Chevy Tahoe had run into a concrete barrier wall.

BSO first responders pulled the driver, Joey Demczuk, 39, out of the truck. The truck was said to have had the driver-side airbag deployed to spite what BSO is calling a ‘low speed’ impact. Demczuk was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

BSO investigators say that they do not consider speed or mechanical malfunction to be contributing factors in this crash.

Demczuk leaves behind an 8-year-old daughter and partner. A GoFundMe page has been established by Demczuk’s family, here.
