BOCA RATON, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — A Boca Raton man is in jail today after being arrested not once but twice for a domestic battery incident and then for returning and violating a no-contact order.
The 1st arrest
On Sunday, 12/5/21, PBSO Deputies responded to a domestic battery call at one the apartments located in the GLEN At Boca Luxury Apartments. According to the police report submitted by PBSO, responding deputies made contact with the victim, Bianca Christopher, 42. Christopher claimed that her husband of 1 year, Paulo Da Silva Alves, 39, came home drunk and yelled at her telling her to get out of the house. Christopher reports that Alves threatened to kill her with a knife. She also reports that he threw a TV at her causing bruising to her left arm. Christopher said that during the attack Alves threw her belongings out of the house.
Deputies report that they observed bruising and injuries on Christopher consistent with her story. They then made contact with Paulo who denied all allegations.
Paulo told deputies that the argument was over a cheating scandal.
Deputies found that they had probably charged to arrest Paulo so they placed him under arrest. Paulo was arrested and transported to the PBSO jail where he was charged with the following crimes:
- 784.03(1A1) SIMPLE BATTERY DOMESTIC
- 784.021(1A) AGGRAVATED ASSAULT(DEADLY WEAPON)
Paulo was booked into the PBSO jail on 12/5 at 11:18 PM. He stayed the night and was released on a $3,000 bond the next day at 6:41 PM.
The 2nd arrest
The story should end there but it doesn’t.
Later that evening after Paulo was released from jail he returned to the residence. Christopher saw him there and called 911. The same PBSO deputy from the day before responded and found Paulo there in the unit which is a violation of the temporary protection order.
The deputy wrote in this report that Paulo admitted he knew he was not supposed to be back in the unit without first contacting authorities.
Paulo was then arrested on the following charge:
- 741.29(6) VIOLATION OF NO-CONTACT ORDER (DOMESTIC)
Paulo spent another night in jail and was released today (12/7/21) at 2:59 PM on another $3,000 bond.
