Boca Man Arrested After Domestic Dispute With Guns Drawn
BOCA RATON, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — A couple got into a heated argument in the very early hours of the morning on 12/1/21 which turned physical, and then when friends got involved it almost became much worse as multiple guns were pulled and a fight broke out.

According to an arrest report submitted by the Palm Beach County Sherriff’s deputy who followed up on the incident, it all started when the suspect, Francisco Menna, 29, came home from work late to his apartment located in The Arium apartments off Boca Del Mar. One of the victims, Menna’s girlfriend, Deborah Azevedo, 23, asked Menna why he was home so late from work and then Menna allegedly became very aggressive. Azevedo alleges that Menna was under the influence and reports that he uncontrollably damaged property within their home. Menna allegedly grabbed Azevedo with one hand and squeezed her face. Azevedo was then able to get free and locked herself in the bathroom where she contacted two of her friends via her cell phone.
Two of her friends, Charles Romero and Kayleigh French-Tingley, both responded to the residence to help her leave the apartment. Azevedo gave both Kayleigh and Charles permission to enter the residence where they both encountered the aggressive boyfriend. Menna was observed coming downstairs with a gun in his hand. Charles then pulled his own firearm and pointed it at Menna. Menna then charged Charles and they both became engaged in a physical tussle. Both men dropped their firearms during the fight. Charles was able to restrain Menna long enough for Azevedo to leave her apartment safely. All 3 then left the apartment without further incident.
About 7 hours later, at 11:00 am, Azevedo and the other 2 victims visited PBSO’s District 7 Office at 17901 US Hwy 441 to report the incident. Deputies took statements from all 3 and later returned to the apartment where Menna was and arrested him on the following charges:
- 1 count of 784.03(1A1) SIMPLE BATTERY DOMESTIC
- 2 counts of 784.045(1A2) AGGRAVATED BATTERY W/ DEADLY WEAPON
Menna was booked on 12/1 at 9:36 PM and released after a 48-hour hold on 12/3 at 1:23 am with a $5,000 bond.
