CORAL SPRINGS, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — A 6-year-old girl was killed following a high speed crash that started as an attempted traffic stop during “routine patrol”.

On the evening of May 5th, 2024, around 5;06 p.m., a Coral Springs Police Officer was out on a regular patrol when they tried to pull over a 2023 White Mercedes carrying three people for a traffic violation near the area of West Sample Road. When the officer activated their emergency lights and siren, the car sped off in an attempt to escape. Following department protocol, the officer decided to end the pursuit by turning off their emergency lights and siren.
