At approximately 6:02 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16, Broward County Regional Communications received reports of a shooting in the 5700 block of Plum Bay Parkway in Tamarac. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Tamarac Fire Rescue responded. On scene, deputies located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced him deceased on scene. As part of the investigation, it was learned that a four-year-old child, Seraphina Gingles, was taken from the residence. A statewide Amber Alert has been issued for Seraphina. She is believed to have been taken by Nathan Gingles, 43, in a 2016 silver BMW X3 with Texas tag 5DV2950 that was last seen heading eastbound on West Commercial Boulevard in Tamarac after 6a.m. It is possible that Seraphina’s mother, Mary Catherine Gingles, 34, is also with them. Both Serafina and Mary Catherine are believed to be endangered. If located, DO NOT APPROACH, contact 911 or 954-764-HELP (4357).
