BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2021) — A Boca Raton man was arrested for DUI and resisting arrest.

Aaron Boyle, a Boca Raton man, was pulled over for a tail light violation near 1500 NW 15th Ave at approximately 2:00AM when officers suspected he may have been under the influence. When officers asked Boyle to perform a field sobriety test he allegedly refused. Officers eventually pulled him from the vehicle and placed him in to handcuffs and he then vomited on the ground.

According to the police report, Boyle was uncooperative with the officers in there questioning and said he would not answer any questions regarding the DUI investigation they were conducting.

Boyle then refused to exit the vehicle when requested. Boyle was informed that he was being detained for a DUI investigation; however, he still refused to exit the vehicle when asked. Boyle was informed that if he did not step out of the vehicle that he would be charged with Resisting Without Violence as he was currently being detained for the DUI investigation. Boyle informed the officers that he would not exit the vehicle and that they would have to pull him from it.

Officers then reportedly opened the driver door, grabbed his wrists, and pulled him from the vehicle. The officers were attempting to handcuff Boyle when he then threw up on the g round. Officers were able to handcuff Boyle using two pairs of handcuffs. Boyle then had nothing more to say to the officers. He was informed of his rights and at this point was under arrest.

Boyle then complained that the handcuffs were too tight. Officers then called Boca Raton Fire Rescue who responded and did not find anything wrong with Boyle’s wrists. Boyle refused to accept any medical attention. Boyle refused again to perform any field sobriety tests.

Boyle was then transported to BRPD where he continued to be uncooperative. While there, Boyle then refused to provide a breath sample to the BAT operator. Boyle then refused to sign any of the 2 citations being issued to him. Boyle plead the 5th and refused to answer any questions.

Boyle was then transported to PBSO jail where he was booked for several charges at approximately 6:18am. Boyle later plead ‘Not Guilty’ and now has a pending court date for all of the charges he is facing including:

    • 316.193 1A (MS)DUI-UNLAW BLD ALCH – DUI INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS
    • RESIST OFFICER – OBSTRUCT WO VIOLENCE
    • 318.14 3 (MS)RESIST OFFICER – REFUSE TO ACCEPT SIGN CITATION OR POST BOND
