West Boca Man Accused Of Kidnapping Woman, Keeping Her Hostage For 2 Weeks
BOCA RATON, FL – Boca Post (BocaPost.com) — A West Boca man has been accused of kidnapping a woman and keeping her hostage in his West Boca home for 2 weeks.
Kevin Therrell, 44, of 11504 Whisper Sound Drive, was arrested for false imprisonment and simple battery last month after an Uber driver accused him of kidnapping.
According to an arrest affidavit submitted by Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, an Uber driver called 911 to report that her customer, Kevin Therrell, hit a female passenger in the face. The Uber driver said she picked up the couple from Kevin Therrell’s home and brought them to a nearby Publix. Before leaving the vehicle, the driver said the two were arguing and that Kevin Therrell hit the woman in the face.
Deputies made contact with Kevin Therrell and the female victim in the parking lot. The victim told deputies that not only did Kevin Therrell hit her in the face but that he has been “keeping her hostage” at his house for two weeks. The victim told deputies that Kevin Therrell told her he would kill her if she left.
The Uber driver told deputies that Kevin Therrell held the victim in a way that “looked kind of creepy”. The victim explained that Kevin Therrell would hold her arms around his body so that she would not leave his side. The victim also said that Kevin Therrell forced her to get into the Uber first. Deputies report that the victim had bruises on her arms and nose that she said were caused by Kevin Therrell.
When deputies talked to Kevin Therrell, he denied holding the victim hostage. Kevin Therrell says that the victim came to his house willingly and has been free to leave. Kevin Therrell says that the victim has been using heroin and started “freaking out” while he was sleeping.
On March 6th, 2022, Kevin Therrell was arrested and charged with False Imprisonment and Simple Battery. Kevin Therrell was released the following day on a $10,000 bond.
Kevin Therrell is back in jail following his arrest on April 9th for a violation of probation.
This isn’t the first time Kevin Therrell has found himself in trouble with the law for attacking women. Kevin Therrell was arrested last year for “shooting or throwing a deadly missile into a building” and battery after allegedly throwing a pint glass at a female bartender at Packy’s Sports Grill on Palmetto Park Road. Those charges were later downfield and dropped.
