BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2025) — The holiday music season returns to downtown Boca this weekend during its typical early-December period. The City presents its second Holiday POPS Concert at Mizner Park Amphitheater on December 6th with doors opening at 6 PM and the performance beginning at 7 PM. People entering from Plaza Real will likely hear the orchestra performing their pre-concert warm-up.

While unrelated, the concert follows the “Savor Boca” Historical Scavenger Hunt and Centennial Tasting Tour events which are scheduled form 10 AM – 4:30 PM in the Plaza. Tickets for those events are still available directly on the Savor Boca website.

The Symphonia performs under Jacomo Bairos’ direction at this year’s concert which also features the Florida Atlantic University Chamber Singers and the Schola Cantorum of Florida. Patricia Fleitas leads the musical ensembles. The performers will perform traditional holiday music which listeners will identify when they return to their vehicles.

The event has evolved into a yearly tradition according to Mayor Scott Singer who stated in his written statement that music unites people best during holiday season. The amphitheater lights create a perfect atmosphere when they reflect off the nearby fountain according to your mental image.

The ticket prices start at $15. The Symphonia website along with standard ticket platforms offer access to purchase tickets. The City provides a full bar and snack options inside the venue but prohibits all outside food and drinks and pets according to their event page. The Symphonia team responds to inquiries through their info email address or their 561 phone number which appears on all their platforms.

Tickets for The Symphonia concert are available on the event’s website.

The conductor Jacomo Bairos presents himself as an artist who defies traditional symphony conductors because he works between different musical styles and partners with diverse artists and teaches about wellness and education. The orchestra established itself in 2004 through its dedication to building fan base by delivering classical music through innovative and creative approaches. The orchestra exists to educate and inspire South Florida through their musical performances according to their straightforward mission statement.

The City of Boca Raton continues its Centennial celebration through Mizner Park which operates as a permanent performance venue. The Boca100 banners continue to display along Federal Highway while the amphitheater serves as the main venue for numerous celebratory concerts throughout this year. The performance schedule includes this event as part of its lineup although it was not part of the initial promotional materials.

The outdoor space with its lawn and colonnade and palm trees above the roofline becomes most attractive during evening hours. The venue entrance leads through the garage while children guide their parents by the sleeve as holiday lights create a festive display across the plaza. The atmosphere at the venue stays recognizable to all visitors who have experienced it even though they have not returned since their last visit.

The orchestra will begin its first performance as the December wind creates a gentle breeze that will disturb the concert programs. The event lets you find local holiday attractions which start your seasonal festivities.
