2 Killed In Deadly Loxahatchee Crash

LOXAHATCHEE,FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — Two people were killed in a deadly crash in Loxahatchee on Thursday afternoon.

The accident occurred near the 11800 block of Orange Boulevard in Loxahatchee at 2:24 PM on Thursday, May 18th, 2023.

According to the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, a woman was driving a Ford Focus eastbound on Orange Boulevard. At the same time, Thomas Ray Hoffman Jr. was traveling westbound in a Ford F-350 while towing an excavator.

Detectives say that, for unknown reasons, the woman swerved left, over the painted white lines, and lost control of her car. At that time, the large truck slammed into the side of the Ford Focus.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene. The driver and the passenger of the Ford Focus were pronounced deceased at the scene. Thomas Ray Hoffman Jr. was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The names of the driver and the passenger of the Ford Focus are being withheld as next of kin have not yet been notified.
