BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2026) — A Boca Raton plaintiff has filed a civil negligence lawsuit against Saint Andrew’s School of Boca Raton, Inc., alleging she was injured during a preseason soccer practice when a goal broke as it was being moved.

The complaint, filed Feb. 6, 2026, in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in and for Palm Beach County, names Harper Beck as the plaintiff and Saint Andrew’s School of Boca Raton, Inc. as the defendant in Harper Beck v. Saint Andrew’s School of Boca Raton, Inc., Case No. 502026CA001471XXXAMB.

According to the complaint, Beck was a resident of Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, at the time of the events described. The lawsuit states Saint Andrew’s School of Boca Raton, Inc. is a Florida not-for-profit corporation doing business in Palm Beach County.

The complaint centers on an incident the plaintiff says occurred “on or about” Feb. 7, 2024, at 3900 Jog Road, Boca Raton, the address identified in the filing as Saint Andrew’s School of Boca Raton. The lawsuit alleges Beck was lawfully on the premises at the time.

In a single count titled negligence, the plaintiff claims the school owned, operated, maintained, and controlled the premises and owed a duty to use reasonable care to keep the property in a reasonably safe condition and to warn of hazardous conditions it knew or should have known about, according to the complaint.

The filing alleges the defendant breached that duty through multiple alleged failures related to a soccer goal. Those allegations include claims that the school failed to maintain or adequately maintain the goal, failed to inspect or adequately inspect it to determine whether it was hazardous, failed to supervise or adequately warn the plaintiff about the danger, and failed to correct what the complaint calls an unreasonably dangerous condition.

The complaint also alleges that the plaintiff, described in the filing as a minor at the time of the incident, was instructed to move the soccer goal “through Coach Matthew Bellando,” who the complaint says was acting on behalf of the school.

As described in the lawsuit, the soccer goal allegedly broke while being moved by Beck and other students at the coach’s direction. The complaint alleges Beck was struck in the head by a portion of the broken goal post and suffered injuries.

The filing states the plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and demands a jury trial. The complaint alleges the plaintiff suffered bodily injury and related damages, including pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, scarring, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life, and past and future medical-related expenses, among other claimed losses. All allegations are claims made in the lawsuit and have not been proven in court.

The complaint lists plaintiff’s counsel as Brandon Sapp Law PLLC, with attorney Brandon Sapp of Orlando. No defense law firm is listed in the complaint.
