Drowning 10-Year-Old Boy Drowns South Of Boca Raton

LAUDERDALE LAKES, FL (Boca Post) — A 10-year-old boy drowned in a backyard pool in Lauderdale Lakes on Saturday morning.

Broward Sheriff’s Office provided Boca Post with the following alert:

Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit detectives are investigating the drowning death of a 10-year-old child in Lauderdale Lakes. 
At approximately 9:06 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, Broward Regional Communications received a call regarding a drowning in the 4500 block of Northwest 32nd Court in Lauderdale Lakes. BSO deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded to the scene and immediately began lifesaving measures on the 10-year-old male drowning victim. Paramedics transported the child to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased. 
BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units responded to the scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. 
At this time, foul play is not suspected.
