LAKE WORTH, FL (Boca Post) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says that 40-year-old Guy Barbancourt, the driver of a Tesla S, was killed in a deadly multi-vehicle crash in Lake Worth early Saturday morning.

According to investigators, at approximately 6:40 AM on Saturday, August 20th, 2022, Guy Ludgy Barbancourt was driving his Tesla Model S westbound on Lantana Road in the inside lane at a high rate of speed.

Aaron Jaipersaud and Jeffrey Hebert were traveling their vehicles westbound on Lantana Road within the outside lane ahead of Barbancourt. As Barbancourt quickly approached traffic ahead, he swerved to the right and traveled across the center and outside lanes prior to exiting the roadway on the north shoulder. Upon the shoulder, Barbancourt’s Tesla overturned and came to rest in a parking lot.

PBSO tells us that Barbancourt was pronounced deceased at the crash scene.

Hebert began to slow to avoid Barbancourt and while slowing he drove into the left rear of Jaipersaud. Jaipersaud overturned his BMW M4 and came to rest in the westbound lanes of Lantana Road.

Hebert brought his Van to a controlled stop on the north shoulder.
