FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (Boca Post) — Authorities say they are investigating the death of a woman they found near the I-95 off-ramp at Broward Boulevard last night.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, homicide detectives are investigating a woman’s death that occurred late Thursday night off Interstate 95.

Around 11:30 p.m. on April 6, Broward County Regional Communications was notified of a dead body near the southbound entrance ramp to Interstate 95 from Broward Boulevard. Florida Highway Patrol troopers, Fort Lauderdale Police officers, and Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue responded. Paramedics pronounced the victim, an adult female, deceased on the scene. At the request of FHP, BSO’s Homicide Unit also responded to investigate

According to detectives, preliminary investigation reveals, two adult females were in a physical altercation before the suspect stabbed the victim

Homicide and crime scene detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of the woman’s death. The Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
