Man With Gun On Balcony Of Condo In Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (Boca Post) — Fort Lauderdale Police responded to a condominium located at 1800 Andrews Ave in response to reports of a man on a balcony with a gun.

SWAT and Crisis Intervention teams from Fort Lauderdale Police Department arrived and were able to take the man into custody without further incident.

The first reports came into the FLPD call center at approximately 2:15 PM on Tuesday afternoon.

While there is still a heavy FLPD presence in the area, a spokesperson for FLPD tells Boca Post that there is no threat to the area. Traffic has also returned to normal as area roads have since re-opened.
