William Dandy Middle School Student Arrested For Bringing A Gun To School

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (Boca Post) — A William Dandy Middle School student has been arrested for bringing a gun to school on Friday, December 9th, 2022.

The Fort Lauderdale Police Department tells Boca Post that they have arrested one student at William Dandy Middle School in Fort Lauderdale for bringing a gun to school on Friday. The notification of the arrest comes after the school was placed on a Code Red lockdown shortly after 3:30 PM when Police received a call about an individual with a gun on the campus.

Fort Lauderdale Police quickly responded and took the student into custody without incident. It is unclear at this time if there were any threats made.

The 14-year-old male student was arrested for possession of a firearm on school grounds as carrying a concealed firearm.
