FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2023) — Two Broward County men were arrested for stealing grills from Jeep Wranglers across Broward County.

After a string of thefts targeting Jeeps left at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport (FLL) in months the Broward Sheriffs Office Burglary Apprehension Team (B.A.T.) and BSO Airport District detectives successfully put an end to the crime spree on Saturday afternoon.

The detectives witnessed Jonathan Quintero and Diogenes Morel Martinez stealing headlights and grills from two Jeep Wranglers parked in a long term parking lot at FLL. They closely monitored the duo as they left the airport and thereafter they attempted to commit a crime at Sawgrass Mills Mall. It was, at that moment when the detectives apprehended them on charges of burglary, grand theft and possession of burglary tools. Both Quintero and Morel admitted their involvement in the crimes during questioning after which they were taken to Broward Main Jail.

According to investigators these suspects are believed to be responsible for stealing headlights and grills from Jeep vehicles parked not at FLL but also at Miami International Airport and Palm Beach International Airport over the past few months. Detectives from Miami Dade Police and Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office are currently investigating incidents, within their jurisdictions.
