Fort Lauderdale Police On High Alert After Threat Of Violence Against Officers

At 3:45 PM, Fort Lauderdale Police tell us that the Fort Lauderdale Police Department has been thoroughly checked and the threat has been determined to be unfounded at this time. The suspect has not been located however, a thorough investigation will be completed. All operations have returned to normal.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (Boca Post) — The Fort Lauderdale Police tell us that they received a call that a man was in the parking lot with a grenade and that he wants to shoot a police officer.

The police station located at 1300 W Broward Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale received the terrifying call at 1:28 PM. Police say they have been working to determine the credibility of the threat, calling the location a very active scene.

A spokesperson for the Fort Lauderdale Police Department tells Boca Post that they have not located the suspect at this time.
