Its Like “The Sopranos” Meet “The Goldbergs” On Stage!

Two-Act Comedy Runs From January 9th – 19th in Boca Raton.

BOCA RATON, FL (Boca Post) (Copyright © 2024) — “From Brooklyn to Boca” to premiere in Boca Raton in January 2025.

“From Brooklyn to Boca” is a new two-act comedy that promises to be a must-see when it premiers in January at The Studio at Mizner Park in Boca Raton, Florida.

Written by Sharon Pfeiffer, a Boca Raton resident and Deni B. Sher, a long-time Weston local, “From Brooklyn to Boca” focuses on the Rifiutos, a Brooklyn family. When Frank, Regina’s mobster husband, chooses to “rat” on his crime family, the Rifiutos go into witness protection. Thus, these not-so-perfect Catholics have to try to pass for near-perfect Jews when they are transplanted from brooding Brooklyn to sunny Boca Raton.

There are sure to be lots of a laughs as the Rifiutos change their religion, car, home, diet, and entire life as these not-so-Catholic Catholics from Brooklyn try to fit into near-Jewish life in sunny Boca Raton. “From Brooklyn to Boca” is all about family and audiences are sure to love the crazy didn’t-see-it-coming finale.

Get ready to laugh with “From Brooklyn to Boca,” a funny story about culture shock and family dynamics as they try to fit into their new community.

What makes this story so interesting? Aside from the Boca and Brooklyn vibes, mob stories are generally told from a man’s point of view. In Regina’s world there are many lovable characters, a lot of comedy and so many surprises. Interestingly, this comedic story is written from the point of view of women by South Florida women.

The world premiere of “From Brooklyn to Boca” will preview on Thursday, January 9th, 2025 and will run through January 19th, 2025. Click here for a list of times and ticket prices. Whether you are a transplant from “up north” or a Boca Raton native(ish), you won’t want to miss ”From Brooklyn to Boca”. This modern day comedy is about to make its world premiere at The Studio at Mizner Park here in Boca Raton.
